I have always loved art and believe you should have good art that you love in your home. But your interest in art can change depending on the space so you should pick something that you love over something that is fashionable.

When my father looked over family records he found out that in the 1960s my grandfather and his brother had decided to sell around 60 paintings to a London auction house, one of them was a Constable landscape!

Since then I decided that any art I bought would be something that I loved and would never sell but romantically hand them down to whoever may be around in years to come.

My art of choice is classic alabaster sculptures but a good way to make art look more flamboyant is to place them on marble plinths or in glass domes. This is in keeping with the white theme in my home and also looks quite mystical on my dressing table or dotted around the house.
