How do we define love? Your Valentine? The one who knows you? The one who’s touch you need? Those soft kisses of reassurance, the smell of their skin? Oh God that smell keeps lingering. Enveloped in the crook of their neck or your perfect spoon in bed? Who’s eyes are like pools of sunshine on a cold winters day? Or who’s yes or no you could hear in every other way? The best orgasm ever? The one you want to nurture? That person who can finish off your sentences, who likes exactly what you like, can sit in silence with you for hours as you swim within their calm? Someone who thinks of you when you thought no one cared? The only one who could ever pick your clothes? Your socks? Your pants? And not off the floor. Found yourself in-front of? Motivates you to be better in spite of? Never gave up on you? Brings you to tears of joy? If push came to shove you might want to pinch them! Remind them a thing or two but never defeat them, if they were happy without you?… it is what it is then, for it’s simply a fact that your soul truly feels them. Love doesn’t hurt you, Love won’t betray you, drain all your goodness, leave you anguished in vain, blue? Love isn’t lonely so don’t think absence is true but those three little words is why my ❤️ heart beats for you.
