The Perfect Salad For Good Skin

After the first full month of isolation the party has definitely worn off. I for one drank more, ate more and lounged more than I had in the previous 6 months….don’t judge me.

I have since bought a small selection of silver bowls and cutlery which is just…..well smaller, in a bid to focus on portion control. This simple trick means that I am getting to enjoy my food but the fine dining element means I am happy to take the time to snack in new, healthier ways.

While smoked salmon may seem a little expensive you can make it last by having small amounts. The benefits to your body are well worth the expense, containing vitamins B, D, magnesium, selenium and omega-3 fatty acids. Studies have found smoked salmon can promote a lower risk of heart disease, muscular degeneration and Alzheimer’s disease.

Mushrooms are also a great way to improve your skin. Recent studies found that the high levels of antioxidants found in mushroom actually had a positive impact on anti-ageing.

This simple salad is affordable and filling and really refreshing if you have been snacking on carbs and chocolate while in quarantine. Tuck in!

Preparation Time; 1 minute

Satifaction Time; Around 3 hours

Ingredients; Serves 1 (Approx £0.97p)

  • 30 grams of smoked salmon
  • 1 slice of fresh lemon
  • 1 handful of wild rocket leaves
  • 2 average sized sliced raw mushrooms
  • Pinch of cracked back pepper
