Just a few days ago a friend invited me to the restaurant re-launch of a place called Satyrio, and Italian restaurant at 49 Aldgate High Street. Aldgate known for the amazing Indian restaurants is not usually the place where you would imagine an Italian restaurant to set up camp, so I went with a little hesitance.
When I arrived the first thing you notice is the light. Everything in the detail has been carefully chosen to reflect the relationship with the food. The music took my far away and soon I forgot I wasn’t in Mayfair? The staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and on hand throughout with the poise of curated ballerina’s. What was interesting about the food were the things i didn’t expect to see….miniature melons, parmesan on my desert, edible flowers garnishing my salmon and everything as fresh as daisies.
If I was taken here on a first date I would walk down the isle with my romeo and if you want a fantasy filled meal for an important milestone then Satyrio Aldgate will be your winning ticket!
